Hello, I have read in the spechs section that the engine on my VMAX 600 should be at 1600 rpm +-. It presently revs at 3000 and at the touch of the trottle it takes off pretty fast which looks ok. The other sled Polaris, rev at 1500 rpm, but has to rev it to 4000 to gert going. Should I lower the revs, or leave it the way it is? And it feels like it runs great, even the polaris guy can't beleive how well it runs. But I am wondering why its idling so high, and how much that effects my fuel consumption when NOT idling. cause I know I am consuming lots of fuel on idle.......if I do have to reduce rpm please explain how or point me to the correct post.

What I mean is when I am at a stand still at idle.

there is an idle screw on the carb you turn out untill desired rpm is achived.
usually located on right side of carberator right on top.

It will be a big white knob on top of the carbs,,can't miss it,,let it warm up
then turn it counter clockwise till it drops down to 1,700 or so....
