i got a stinger style pipe with my sled when i bought it. is it better than stock or no?? if i put it on what changes do i have to make to carbs?stock main is 156.3.

if you have asingle pipe then you wont have to change anything. will probably be louder and maybe gain 3 HP. loose a lot of weight compared to stock silencer

First I would start by finding out what pipe it is and finding the setup specs for it. After that if it's a lot of adjustments that need to be made you can decide whether you want to mess with it or not. A single pipe with no silencer it going to be really loud and probably not give you much performance.

unfortunatly i cannot tell who made the pipe. it is a single style. i suppose i could try it for a day and see what happens. i know i bought jardine pipes for my rd-400 yammy bike in the late seventys and they were pretty noisey,but that was ok, the bike was a giant killer.
