Just turned 10,000 miles on my piped Viper. Kind of a nice little milestone, but I think I am going to retire it. Will be on a new sled next year. Don't have a picture of the display, will have to get that.
 
I'm almost there! Should have 10K by the end of the season. I too will have a new sled for next season but I might keep the Viper too, still undecided. I know I'll be kicking myself if I get rid of it.

WOW! that would have been my whole post, but it had to be more than 5 charcters for the board to take it so I repeat, WOW!
 
how many miles on the piped viper with the pipes? or did you put them on once you got it? no doubt in my mind mine will see 10,000 miles, 6200 right now.
 
man my viper gauge is reading 1948 right now.you guys have to much time on your hands.lol i only wish i could ride that much no damn snow past 2 years.
 
I've got about 6600 on now, about 2000+ this year. Motor still running strong, but I did have my first issues this year with my suspension, broke the shock mount bolt and broke the W arm. Everything good now, now it's time for a new track though. What should I get? 9837 or 1" Hacksaw? What are your thoughts?

Pipes were on the whole 10,000 miles. Just goes to show you with correct set-up the piped sleds are reliable. Bet my buddy $50 it wouldn't blow-up before 10K, now it is time for him to pay up!
 
congrats on having the pipes on that long!!! are you carb savvy and need to rejet a lot, or just set it rich and forgot about it?? nice work!!!

You guys may not like this, but going to switch over. Looking at a Renegade or Crossfire. But don't fear, I still have my wife's Viper, been a very good sled for us.

Never rejetted. Used Hauks jet specs on main, pilot, and needle settings. Also has the head mod which I understand is very important. Was probably running fat at most times, but I will take that over a blown motor. But I still won lots of races with it.

What is your setup ? What kind of pipes? what kind of mileage do you get?
 
Great to here , I'm just over 28,000 km on mine and still riding on the original track . I kept it stock because it's all I need around here . A new sled next year does sound good though , congrats :WayCool:
