My stock studded track is ready to fly apart so I got a good used 1.5" Camoplast I believe to be off an Artic Cat. I will not be running studs and will be riding on both groomed trails and deep snow. I will be running the 9 tooth drivers (no exchanger gaurds) and now I'm wondering if I should change the gearing when I have it apart? I believe it has the stock 23 tooth top gear and 37 tooth bottom gear now. I can get a 39 tooth bottom gear used but would I need to change to a 70 link chain? Am I better off buying the 22 tooth top gear new? or should I just leave it alone? I don't care if the machine goes over 100 mph. I just want all the parts to work together to make a good trail sled. I was in the process of getting the clutches tuned and here's where I'm at so far.
g/s/g primary spring (planning on a y/s/y)
8dn-20s with 4.5 outer, 3.6 inner rivets (planning on 4.5 inners)
15.6 rollers
red secondary spring (planning on green)
50-44 helix
Any input is appreciated! 700
