extra 12 susp

Don't know. My Dad has one lying around maybe stuffing it in his Viper will quiet down the "Harsh Ride" comments.

If you need a measurement sled my family has a couple Polaris's with the Extra 12 and one with the Extra 10. The only thing I can say is the 12 is an awfully heavy skid. There is a lot of steel in it. Set up correctly though it is a comfy ride for a trail sled.

Xtra-12 also is horrible for weight transfer. If those things dont bother you, go ahead and try it. Let us know how it works out.

I know the Xtra-10 wasn't a "coupled" design, but Is the Xtra-12 "coupled"? Long travel suspension without "coupling" isn't that great.

They are both coupled. The x10 is a rising rate 2way coupled and the x12 is a falling rate 2way coupled. There is a difference between the 2. Big difference. My Brothers '96 700 has the x10. The other 2 sleds have the x12.

I like the pro-action. My XTC has a great ride and does everything predictably. Fast, slow, corners, hills. It's a barrel of fun.

I'd try to stuff the proaction into the '94. If you have a '96 available to take a look at it might help. or the M10. Your limited on the Pogo's really. I remember how badly they took bumps on my '88 Exciter.

ok thanks guys it was just a thought. i will keep looking .actually trails were great this year so a long suspension was not really necessary. maybe a big bore kit is in the offing over the summer? i really like this sled and really hate to part with the cost of a new nytro or apex.a friend of mine is going to buy the new phazer so it will be interesting to see it and how it runs.. :yrules:

I just seen a viper skid on here for $275 If you use a polaris skid spend the extra for a edge suspension. I put a 2000 venture pro-action skid in my 94 vmax 600 ST longtrack and it took about 7 or 8 hours. Just make sure you have mounting locations from donor sled. If you need help feel free to ask.
