I picked a red one up at Walmart for 7 bucks and put it in my 95 V-max. The headlight no longer dims when I hit the brake! It's worth it if you have headlight dimming problems or you don't carry a spare bulb.

LEDs react much quicker than filiment bulbs, sometimes you'll see semis with mix and match lights, it realy is noticable. as fish says they don't need as much power.
on the downside, you might have snow buildup on the lense without a warm tail light to clear it to some degree.

I am interested in useing them in older sleds with lower watt output's. I've seen them as 9,12,18 and 20 L.E.D.'s and wonder which to buy ? Would not the smaller # L.E.D.'s use less wattage but also, have less light output ? Thanks for any suggestions on size or make.
I just bought a LED for my Venture today, I noticed my headlight does not fade now.. I run an Xenon bulb in my headlight...Have to wait and see how bright it is this weekend...
i have on in the rear of my sxr. it is visible for a good long ways but as mentioned above the lens does cover up with snow more easily. i sprayed my lens with pam and it seems to be helping with the snow accumulation problem.

PAM....good idea. I have the LED tail light.
Less draw on the electrical system.

I ran them in a viper, because all my friends complained they couldnt see the viper tail light.... too dim, I told them to just get a faster sled so they could keep up....LOL!!
Seriously, they do make it quite a bit brighter
