I put on 1950 miles in Northern Wisconsin and the UP in 3 weekends. I have had the best snow of my life and the best trails I have ever seen. Fan-friggen-tastic. I am hoping for one more late season ride on the forest sevice roads in the UP.

Hi Pat! Well life is good - thanks to God and my family.... I have made complete changes in my lifestyle and I do feel better but dang do I miss a beer now and thenSpartaSXr said:Bob where ya been ? You feeling better ?
Lack of snow in the back yard has dropped me down to 155 miles this year. Fun while it lasted. I look forward to a BLIZZARD yet this month though. Seems we are due for one last crash-em derby in western Michigan before the 5 month rain season sets in.

Funny you mention the lack of snow. I was able to get out for the first time last weekend for a short 40 or 50 mile ride. Went between Verona State Park and Rome. There wasn't an extreme amount of snow, but it was pretty good riding, all considered.
I actually have been working all winter in the Ballston Spa area - Greenwich. Figured it would be a great year, could trailer the sled over and get some great mileage during the week and what not. Well, as mentioned before, it was terrible up here. I can remember a couple weeks ago (mid Feb) where the hay/weeds in the field were actually starting to grow, got to about 1.5 - 2 feet. SUCKS

def. the worst winter yet. most snow we had here was in the middle of december (about a foot) then that melted rite b4 xmas and haven't had enough to ride since then. i have about 250 miles on and it looks like that is going to be it. missed 4 trips to quebec (2 b/c sled wasn't ready after sinking, 1 b/c of the flu, and 1 b/c of 45 and rain), that would have put me well over 1000 miles but oh well there is always next year
now time to get my waverunner ready for a good summer

12 miles but, then thats more than I put on in many winters of the 1980's !
lol. in the late 80's the sled my dad let us use never really had time to cool off other than when it was shut down for the night.

Exciter570 said:It's definately been the worst winter ever but I must say that I put on some pretty good mileage. Was able to get about 1250 miles on this year. The thing that really sucked was that all those miles occured in about a 4 week span, so the season was extremelly short, I feel like it just started and now its already over and now there is that 8-10 month period with no riding!![]()
I really have to tip my hat to the grooming crew in Old Forge, NY. For the amount of snow that we've had this year they have done a phenominal job in maintaining the trails. There was not one weekend this year that the trails were not being groomed, even if there were only a few inches on the trails. They really made it seem as if there was more snow than there was with the great job they did keeping the trails smooth. The sleds are now sitting in the garage covered up. Seasons over.....
I hear ya, just atarted and already over!!! up in Pittsburg NH I had some decent snow with terrible spells in between, but managed about 1500 miles total. just all in a few weeks pushing to get them!
