YES!!!!!........I read all the posts and was looking for a fuel response. Is this a 1993 Exciter II SX as shown in your profile? If so, that sled has alot of stock compression. I used to own one from 1993 to 1997. Mine had around 150lbs. compression stock. YOU ABSOLUTELY have to run 92-93 octane on this sled. Yamaha also rcommended it. When I sold mine I told the new owner to only run premium fuel. He chose not to and it burned down right away. I had around 3500 trouble free miles on it beforehand, but never ran anything but premium.
