hello everyone
i have a bender roller rooster secondary on my 2000 sxr700. the bushing that is pressed into the inner sheave keeps sliding out. it usually happens at WOT on longs straightaways but anyways it causes the secondary to stick open. it did it last year in Istheming and i took it apart and beat the bushing back in and thought it was all better. well it did it again outside of Gran Marais a coupkle weeks back and i had to disect the clutch in the hardware store in Gran Marais and beat the bushing back in again. what would cause this? the jackshaft bearing was replaced this year and i put a different jackshaft in last year (in the Best Western parking lot in Istheming
) so it's not an issue of the shaft or bearing.the bushing has been replaced twice and it fits tight, I had to beat it in using a piece of wood. can I swap a sheave out of a stock secondary or will this throw it off balance?
Thanks in advance
Tim
PS. Extra thanksto the old man in the hardware store in Gran Marais. Thanks again for letting me use tools off the shelves and saving my weekend!
