Vmax 600 hesitation

Hey guys, I have a 98 vmax sx 600. This sled is bullitt proof and runs great, starts on 1st or 2nd pull every time. Problem is from take off she hesitated and revs slow up until about 5500 or 6000, then she clears her throat and revs like a bat out of hell up to 8000ish. What could be causing this hic up? even if i'm rolling at slow speeds and punch it and my rpms are low, it will hesitate for about 1 or 2 seconds before it statrs to rev. Any ideas?

Give the carbs a good cleaning lately????

I would clean & adjust the carbs then see how she runs.

I did have them off and cleaned them at the end of last season. But the reason I did that is because it was hesitating. Maybe i should do it again and adjust them.

I would check the primary. Do the rollers spin O.K.? I just had this same problem on my V-max and it ended up being a bad roller. Also make sure you try a different belt.

check your center to center on the clutches.
