Well my riding season is officially over with the lastest round of mild temps and the girlfriends nasty looks whenever I mention going away to find snow(about 4 hours away)."Too much stuff needs to be done around the house for you to be thinking of going away for a few days" :o| .Sound familiar guys?
Honestly if I hear one more person tell me how much they are enjoying this weather I'm going to blow.
I guess its time to start looking for another street bike;I can see an R1 or GSXR in my future with any luck at all.If you cant beat 'em might as well join 'em and make the most of it.

"girlfriends nasty looks" = If you're not married and she wants that much control over you just, wait until you say I do........... !

Get out while you still can. If she has this much control over you now you may as well hand her both of them with the bag.

That sucks that your girlfreind has this much control over you. I agree with Yamahasrx700 on this one, I couldnt stand it if my girlfriend told me I wasnt alowed to do something without a legit reason. Like, if there is really stuff to do around the house, do it right now!, so that you can go riding later and be done with it. You dont have much riding time left!

It's not that she has that much control over me,my post sounded worse than it is after reading it again LOL.I made my own list of stuff to do and she likes to show it to me once in a while as it's not getting covered as quickly as I would like, can you say procrastinate? As far as riding time we have zero snow where I live and the ground is softening up alot plus I've been dipping into my sledding funds a little too much and dont have a whole lot left, mabey enough to buy a box of beer and drown my sorrows.Well time to start my list for sledding related things now;lets see a new coat and perhaps helmet to start.

Just got the three greatest words last nite "winter storm warning !" . Received about 6 inches or so , just a little too late this year ( no base and lots of wind ) .

Still snow here, we lost some with the rain and warm temps..Lakes are a mess here lots of Ice ( stay away from the rivers and creeks they are all open) lots of water and slush on top of them..Trails are a mess too..I was out on Sunday riding going up a hill the side of my ski caught a rock..dead stop..I dislocated my shoulder bent my handlebars bad, broke my heated grip, totalled my metal ski ( bent the ski good ) and where my trail arm attaches bent the running board just a bit...it was a long ride home with a dislocated shoulder, now I have to see if any of you guys have parts for sale,,,skis ( plastic), handlebars, and a heated grip let me know thank you

Just a thought. I told my wife BEFORE we got married, I don't Golf, Bowl, play pool, sit in bars, play cards on friday night.....ect..... but, I do ride snowmobile's 3 months out of the year so, either join me or do your own thing but, I will NOT give up the sport ! Been happily married over 15 years and when it(if) it snows I go !

Here is a saying that one of my Yooper riding buddies uses on his ole lady,
I can ride you anytime - I can only ride my sled when there is snow!

LOL!!
:WayCool:
Aint that the truth! That was pretty good. ;)!

I started dating a girl last September and i told her my favorite thing to do was snowmobiling. I don't think she really understood how much i like it. The first few rips of the year i did take her along but after doubling for 200 miles a day, it gets hard on the machine and your body and not as fun so i told her to buy a machine. She did not buy one so i bought a 1980 enticer for her to learn on. Well we really can go as far with this machine and pretty much have to stay around the house. Now that its nearing the end of winter and when i double ride the rear suspension bottoms out so i told her i would not double any more and to make a long story short she said to me that she feels that she is second best to my snowmobile and my reply yes honey you are second best untill the end of March or until the snow is gone, and i told her if she were to buy a good machine she could go everywhere i go. So she will be getting one this summer

Boy this sounds too familiar.

My wife has been riding with me for 19 years and my daughter started when she was 20 months old. I will be married 16 years in May. Take the family with you. Thats what I say.

I know it cost me a brand new 1990 Phazer II Which we still have !

We we in Newberry last weekend, trailered out of town to trail head, rode 230 miles on Friday and another 130+ Saturday, the trails were all great, my brother-in-law said it might have been the best riding he has ever had. Thinking hard about going back up this weekend.
