I bought a supposedly new part from someone on this forum. The day I recieved it I opened it and it had a part on it that had been broken. I called the guy right away and he said he was going to check on the insurance with UPS. I have been after him at least once a week since and still have not gotten anywheres. Now he said I am a being dickhead and I should of had made the claim for insurance. He more or less said when and if I find the part as an assistance to me I will ship it to you. His lastemail he said to stop emailing him, calling and botheringhim about the part.. The part in mention is the TPS on the tripple carb set up. I paid good money for these new bored carbs and now have no use for them without the TPS . I tried to just return them to him for a refund but he will not even consider it. All of this has been taking place since the first week of Febuary. What is a person to do it is so furustrating that there are people out there like this. Oce they cashyour check they don,t give a shit any more. He is constantly selling more parts all the time on this forum. Buyers beware.
 
I want his name too. If they are going to pull that kind of stuff then we all need to be aware. So please tell us.Either post it or pm us. I agree as far as speaking to Tom. He should know about the issue one way or the other.
 
I just bought a used digatron from nysrx, it was a great transaction, I'm on your side, no reason to screw fellow TYers :die:
 
I have bought a few things off fellow TYers abd they have been great, to bad one arse had to spoil it for you..I don't know why you wouldn't print his name????? Unless there is more to the story!!!!!!!!!
 
Not to play devil's advocate here but what if it WAS shipped and broken in transit? Did you (nySRX) buy insurance? But...... his response to you and being elusive indicates he sent it out broken???

If the guy did his job and packaged it good because it's an
electrical part, no way should it have gotten broken......

busted parts

I just wanted to know I was in the right. He still claims it was my responsibility to make the claim. He won't answer my emails, PM or phone calls. So I guess I am just out of luck. Buyer beware because seller 800 [ Bill Gohr] will not back his products that he ships to you. If you receive busted up goods from him he will not do anything to make it right. The product he sent was a set of bored carbs I paid $250 and when I received them the TPS sensor was busted off. So now I have to fork over another $100 to buy a TPS sensor. I guess you have to live and learn. This is the first time in over 200 transactions on the internet I ever got ripped off. To bad it has to be on this forum.
 
I hate to even get in the middle of this. But I have bought alot of parts from Bill, and have never had a problem. I have also sold him some parts too, with no problems. Matter of fact he is LOANING me his track clip tool to use, and we have never even met. These are the kind of problems that need to go to a moderator first, before airing dirty laundry out in public. There is 2 sides to every story, and they are best arbitrated by one, not the masses. maxdlx
 
I agree with maxdlx, you should pm Tom (Mr. Sled ) if you have not.
I have seen things get worked out with a little help from Tom or one of the Mods.
Dont know 800 but never heard any bad things about him, and I know there are a
GREAT bunch of guys-girls on this site ready to help out a fellow rider.

I have brought this to Mr Sleds attention and he said that it is not his job to be the judge and jury. I did contact UPS and they told me the shipper has to make the claim. All packages are automatically insured to like aroung $200 then after that it cost extra. The day I received the package and opened it and found the TPS busted off I called the seller immediatly and let him know. It has been 7 weeks and all I know is that I still have a set of carbs with a busted TPS. There has been no resolution. I am sorry, but I do not feel I have done anything wrong here.
