I had to have my center shock rebuilt after some damage to it. When I went to put it back in I remembered that I saw two large diameter delrin (white plastic) washers at one end of the shock. I can’t remember which end they go on and I can’t find them. Is it ok to install the shock without them for a weekend ride? Am I going to damage anything?

just look at the parts fiche on yamaha's website and determine where they go. They are there for a reason, don't ride without them.
