the pic doesn't do it justice, it looks really good in person. i didn't want it on my dash plus i didn't have enough cable to reach. so i thought of the handlebar idea. the sled mechanic the installed it for me had to make a custom mounting bracket. he did a really nice job.

Is it actually a snowmobile temp gauge or a car one. I have not seen either snowmobile one.

when I emailed autometer they recomended to use the marine gauge for weather and vibration reasons

Temp
Temp guage look real good. But 180 is way to high for a snowmobile engine. Your thinking automotive at that temp. My 780 running hard is about 150-155. Are you running a rear cooler?

Where are the sensor mounted?
A pic of it would be nice

03vg, the black piece that is bolted to the riser and to the gauge is custom made. the gauge comes with a mount that is made for mounting flat(didn't use)
Mac, no rear cooler. i heard 180 from alot of ppl on here. again, i won't know what i'm running for temps till next year. the gauge was put on 5 days ago, haven't had snow here for a month. so no testing
Ola, i'll get a pic of the sensor for ya tomorrow.
