the pic doesn't do it justice, it looks really good in person. i didn't want it on my dash plus i didn't have enough cable to reach. so i thought of the handlebar idea. the sled mechanic the installed it for me had to make a custom mounting bracket. he did a really nice job.

What's the temp

Hey Timebomb that's great! Now you can tell us the exact temperature.............at the bottom of the river!!!!!! :o|

What kinda temps do you normaly see?

haven't tried it yet, no snow here, season is done. gonna hafta wait till next year to see what i get for temps. from what i've heard, vipers run around 180*

NLVIPER82, just a car gauge from a autoparts store.

03Viperguy, i'll try to get you some pics this weekend when i put the sled away for the season

03VG, was bored so i took a pic tonite. it mounts right on top of my handlebar riser. it can easily be seen sitting down.

Temp

Temp guage look real good. But 180 is way to high for a snowmobile engine. Your thinking automotive at that temp. My 780 running hard is about 150-155. Are you running a rear cooler?

03vg, the black piece that is bolted to the riser and to the gauge is custom made. the gauge comes with a mount that is made for mounting flat(didn't use)

Mac, no rear cooler. i heard 180 from alot of ppl on here. again, i won't know what i'm running for temps till next year. the gauge was put on 5 days ago, haven't had snow here for a month. so no testing :o|

Ola, i'll get a pic of the sensor for ya tomorrow.

thanks a lot for all the info timebomb, should help me a lot this summer when I do the same thing! thanks again
