TimeBomb, thanks, I am after having a automotive gauge in my hands a 1/2 dozen times and wasnt sure if it would work. But there will definently be one on there next year.

This is where I have mine installed. I do notice that it is a bit hard to see if the sun is behind you back though

yes, sending unit comes with the gauge. only thing that didn't was the custom made mounting bracket and the T fitting. oh and the gauge pod, ordered that seperate through autometer
Normal temps
My 780 runs about 140 degrees all day long. Will only go over that riding very minimal snow condidions & plowed roads. It never gets anywhere near 180. Seems odd.
