Just under 20,000 klm's on my 02 Viper ER(bought noncurrent in 03) without touching the motor.Just regular maint.Still pulls pretty good and no plug fouling.New plugs in the fall just because.
I think if you wanted to keep a Yammie 4-stroke going indefinitely it would be still going when the sled was so outdated you would not want to ride it anymore.If I do buy another sled it will be a 4-stroke and that will probably be the last one I buy.I'll just maintain it and drive it until it dies or I die.I'm not someone who feels the need to trade up every year or when something new comes out.Just waiting to see what this winter brings for weather.Already had to bad winters in a row here.
