Are these the grips you were putting on ? If so they look and work great !
Sort of, ..it's just the curved edge part that I have and it is pop riveted about an inch in from the running board edge. I got someone that can weld it for me on Wednesday, but someone else said that might be able to weld it tomorrow, so we'll see.

Id do it just so I could ride the rest of the season, if the seal was very good and if anyone has ever tried the leather thing, it works like a champ, even electrical tape, lol. Of course, regularily checking for leakage. Then after the season, replace with a new one, that way it guarentees it will be reliable.

cruise out to your local hardware store, grab a tap and a plug fitting (like a brake fitting, only it's a plug, no way for fluid to get out) tap the aluminum where you punched thru, thread the plug in, ride all weekend, get it welded on wednesday.
open a cold one for a job well done, and an extra weekend added onto your winter.

My similar experience involved feeling underneath something like that but not moving my hand. Still got a scar from a brand new 1/2" drill bit in the heel of my hand. For future information......a tampon works real good as a temporary bandage....

works pretty well 03 the first time i tryed it i almost hit a tree branch it jumped so high in the air. it was the rebound effect when they bottomed out,so i installed a axle with round bumpers on it behind the rear h arm.you no like the other three run.its better over the bumps as it helps with the skid trying to bottom out and does not rock back and forth like running a big gap in the transfer rods.reinforced w arm and a extra limit strap is nessisary for the extra stress on it.i will shoot you some more picks as i have added pol wheels and top shock bearings over the winter.
