Well I just sat down and watched the new 2007 Yamaha DVD that came with my new SnoGoer Canada Mag.
I think I might have been a little too negative when I first saw the new Phaser. I think I'd like to give one a whirl!! And I don't think it's snow withdrawl either.

its slowly growing on me, but my issue is that I am a trail rider. seems like not the best for a trail sled.....
I rode the sled and let me tell ya it is a blast to ride! I found myself looking to hit the rough stuff on the inside of the corners.
I think with the addition of the optional windscreen for cold days it would make a fine trail sled as well for the target market.

yeah but by trail sled I mean groomed trail that I can stretch out on and relax, drive 250 miles in a day, get up tomorrow and do the same thing, even if it is real cold. I want low more than I want big bump capabilities

I'd pick the Phazer GT. I think the 80hp twin should be enough for trail use. It has a great torque potential in the mid range that the 2 stroke lacks.
My biggest pet peeve is with the lack of wind protection. Hell going from the fan cooled Pazer of old to a liquid cool sled was drastic and now nearly all the wind protection is gone.
Good news is it must be closer to the feeling of flying thru the snow seeing as how not much is in front of the rider.
