After replying to the post about how many km's I put on this winter I started wondering how many total km's or miles guys are getting on their Yamaha's? I just bought my 98 V-MAX 700 and it now has 12,900 km's on it after this season. How many km's can I look forward to getting on my sled? Diceman

well my 2000 sxr 600 had just over 12500 when i sold it a month ago. my moms 98 600 xt has a little over 18000 and only ever had to change a crank bearing and my dad has a 2001 vmax 700 that is about to hit 20000 and have never had a problem with it. you should be good for many, many more miles

i heard of a guy that put 100,000 miles on a phazer not sure ow true it is. i guess the guy never beat it just kinda crused every day from the day he bought it new. not surehow many rebuilds he had either. i guess he was just kinda a bird watcher

Had 9,000 miles on a '81 SRV when the speedo cable broke ran it 3 more
years after that. motor never touched.... ;)!

98 A/C ZR 600 has 8,500 miles on it, and it's such a piece of junk, I have to part it out to sell it. Rebuilt the motor at 4900 miles, been thru the clutches 4 or 5 times. all the rivets and bolts on the thing are just falling out. A/C quality - gotta love it.

Got a buddy with a 2002 bombardier legend 700 with 20,000 km he did his top end this year and put on a new track.
Also a buddy with a 1999 zrt 600 with 15,000 miles he just got rid of it last month , from what i know he had the top end done twice in the last four years. Also all bearings.

18 500kms on mine. Totally virgin untouched. Changed track and jackshaf bearings while the track was out, and they were still good anyways.

Buddys polaris got to 12000 miles before everthing was totalled on it, motor blew up once, and just regualr polaris stuff that happens, which included suspension collapsing multiple times and secondarys and primarys falling off.

I had over 13,000 Miles on my 88 Exciter and the motor has never been touched and my dad's 94 vmax had almost 11,000 on it and the motor has never been touched on it either before we sold them back in January. We were not easy on those machines either, I bought my Exciter when I was 12 and we all know how kids are with machines at that age.

I had 9,900 on a '93 XLT Special, PSI tripple piped its whole life. Finally smoked a pto bearing. Those things were known for their pto bearing failures, even after they installed a dedicated oil line to the bearing on the 95 and up models. I really liked that thing at the time.

Guy had a '95 xlt after 3 smoked pto bearings in 5k she went to the junk yard where it belongs.........

That thing was nothing but problems for him....POS!!!!!!

20 000kms on a 2001 700 Venture. Replaced track after 6000kms (it literally fell apart). Retighten electric start gear on primary clutch this year, and repair (reweld and reinforce) rear suspension. The biggest steel part at the rear of the sled broke in half and the sled had 0 suspension.
