that's awsome!! You know the thing that drives me nuts though.. There's so many people who are so talented like that and yet all we get from production, especially on the radio, is total crap.. The big guys need to look harder! Hope he makes it!
 
Good air guitar. His fingers are not matching what he is playing.
 
Turk, I thought that too at first, but watch his picking hand - I think he's playing it, if not, he at least is "lip syncing" to the point that he definetly has some talent - Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck, and Brian May style of play - I like it! - like maxout01 said, you don't hear that style of quality play any more! - I play the drums and have always wanted to play the guitar just never had the patience! COOL!
 
yes he is!!, The quality of the video might make it look decieving, but he's sure playing that!! look at all the bends and hamerons, ITs omost impossible to air guitar that!.
you can also hear the distortion echo. listen Closely. He's definitly playing that

his Finger picking is too precise. the hamerons, and Bends are in the Perfect spot along with the slides...

I am seeing him hit some very hi notes when his fingers are only 1/2 way down the neck. I used to play guitar & what I am watching just does not match what i am hearing.
 
There is a kid in my high school who would be able to play that. He can play every Metallica song perfectly including the solos. It's pretty intense.
 
Playing or not playing you can not air guitar like that with out any ability - the kid still has some talent - is he actually playing? - who knows! - computer generated?
 
The kid can play. High notes can be hit mid way up the fret board. A finger tremelo will produce a higher pitch on a lower note. I currently play, and effects can do wonders. I beleive that kid is playing the song with some type of MIDI playing to give the rythem in the backround. Very cool. :bling:

If you hit the search button at the top and find the asian guy, he has a very nice Joe Satrani sound.

Yes I agree he is playing that. Sometines finger placement and "High" note sounds need not be where you think the hand needs to be in. He does not even need to press on the strings to get some of those. The dead giveaway is the picking. Ya even on a crappy video if this was a fake or "Air" guitar no one is going to go thru 7 minutes of dead on picking.

I'd be even more impressed if he did it standing up. It's what seperates the amateurs and the Pro's.
 
I'd like to hear Christopher Caffery of Savatage play that I bet he could. This guy sounds a lot like Chris Caffery or nearly Criss Oliva-esque (RIP Criss).
 
yeah, i really do believe this guy is playing that song. Takes alot of Practice and skill to get that good. Joe Satriani is one of my favorite guitarsts. Someone Download the song "starry night* by him, Very good song, Very relaxing.

The slides match it, soon as he lets go and soon as he starts and just everything. Like he said, who would waste 7 minutes to Air guitar like that. I know hes playing it, Everythign matches up sooo perfectly.!
 
The house with the christmas lights, LOL I saw that one too. People just have too much time on their hands!
 
Having tried to learn to play guitar I nothing but admiration for people that master the instrument. I saw a kid one time in Manhattan with a ratty Strat knock off and a cheap little amp with a 6" speaker set up in front of one the major lables office building. He was doing the most amazing things with that stuff. I always wondered if someone picked him up either as a lead artist or to do studio work.
 
Well at first glance I also thought it wasn't him, I have high speed everything but my computer......BUT my son has it all and he shoewed it to me again on his PC and the hand cordination is dead on......he is amazing....
