I'm looking for a bush sled.

Something light, reasonable suspension, long track, reverse, reasonable performance, fan cooled & preferably a metal belly.

Something you drive at 30 below celsius, smack a willow and not wince that you don't have a big repair ahead of you.

Closest thing I've seen is an early 90's Enticer II with a 400 in it. Trouble is finding one.

My questions are: a) Where can I find information about the Enticer II? What years they were produced, different versions, different features, etc. b) Any suggestions on where to track one down?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

:rockon: dude i own one of those sleds and it is great for doing what you described. they where availible in canada from 1992 to 2001. the only change in the sled occured about 1998 when they put hydraulic brakes on it. otherwise the only difference is the coulour. a belly pan protector was availible from yamaha but i didnt buy one. my uncle has a vk 540II with the plastic belly pan and has no cracks. he is a trapper and that is his main trail breaker so it has lots of belly pan hits. electric start is optional on them (im too cheap didnt buy it). it still has bumper for the oops'es into treees while side hilling the sled(other reason why i bought it) no other brand does. it handles the trails good and the pogos help smooth the ride out. power wise it is adequate. reverse was standard. also came with heated grips but they wern't high lo grips . only have one temp hot. :yam:

all the specs for the sled are still on yamahas tec site. as for finding one ....... you will have to look for a used one unless a dealer has a non current still left. but usually the people who buy this sled don't part with them till they are pretty worn in lol. :D

if you can't find one don't be shy, consider the vk540. its good for doing the same job but it is a better trail breaker. and the good part is you can still buy a vk. its just a little bigger to move around in the garage. all the dealers around here order at least one in a year and it sells every year. that should tell you how good it is when people keep going back to buy the same sled ;)! ;)!
