600 twins to 700 B.B. twin...

I recall years ago Dynotech testing a 700 big bore and being disappointed with the results, something to do with limitations with the transfers or crankcase pumping ablility. That may have been sorted out long ago since but that was what I read on it way back when.

If you want a lake racin animal get yourself a Vmax4 800 and then talk to Yammiegod3:16 on some clutch setups for racing that are unbeatable... he's got the trophies to back his kits up... ;)!

Yea I know Tony..I have a coulpe of max4's..Just looking to build something that I could run with my trail friends..

I built one. Started with a 1994 vmax 600. Altitude Engineering from Taos New Mexico did the machine work. Seems to me they decked the cyliners and used 2 base gaskets. Did some head work and ported the cylinders. They did the porting twice. First go around it would not quit detonating. They increased the transfer ports and it worked good. Not sure I would try to make a lake racer from it but it sure worked good on twisty 40-70 mph trails. Coming out of the corners it was all over anything in front of me.
