Some info on Pipes

I am thinking about putting pipes on my sled next year. But I am wondering what I really needs to buy and do to get my sled working right. I already have the rear heat exchanger and 53/43 helix and green spring. Besides that sled is stock. So I was wondering what I got to get and how much work is there to putting pipes on.
I was also wondering if I would be better off buying the Hacuk Snake Bite Kit? Thanks.

with the pipes all you would need is some primary clutch work to get the rpms right. maybe a head mod. and definately jetting. other than that pipes are easy to install.

What is the head mod?

The head mod is machine work done to the head to even out the compression on all three cylinders. What they do is lower the compression on the center and mag cylinder's to match the PTO.
Some pipe builder's recommend it, (Simon's, Bender), while other's say it is not required for they're pipes (SLP).
If you do a search, here on TY and Snowest, you'll find a ton of threads on Viper pipes.

traction, stock track wont hook. 8dn20 weights work well. head mod as mentioned or consider aftermarket heads so that you don't have to lower comp-keep in mind maxx perf closed, so new domes for mega power heads may be a problem. EGTs help, once you establish a baseline in your jetting.
