Shipping can be a pain, i would gladly handle it for you here I am going to have my "new" SX 700 skid done this summer plus radius rods, trailing arms , skid. I definitely won't buy those plastic covers they look cheap. Like everyone said better to paint every few years. Kysledneck, I like your ideas for what you've done to yours with the bedliner. It's pretty much what I want to do to the front end of mine, I'm looking to polish the tunnel up this summer though. I might take you up on your offer once I get time to price the paint and stuff first. I am very meticulous about everything. But when I get behind the wheel so to speak I'm known to.. well push it to the max.. That's how the paint up front got like it is now! I'm gonna get the paint code first an price that up. I might have some good ol' rustoleum at work that's pretty close! Then I will have my buddy check into the line x. I'm in the middle of rebuilding most of my garage so it might take some time but I'll keep everyone updated!! Thanks for all the help!

????????! I used to go to Snowmobile fanatics.com all the time & then it seemed everytime I or someone else posted something some teenager would post some crap like you just did, So I just quit going there unless I am selling something! I really cant believe you posted such a crappy comment! What a low blow! I guess from now on just keep away from my posts I love this site but people like you ruin everything! The tunnel is a flat black & looks just great! The pics are with a spot light on it,so it looks alittle more detailed than it looks in natural light! Cannot remember seeing any pics from you??????

I would do what KYsledneck said about powdercoating. Stuff is really tough and looks great! A nice candy blue into a faded silver or white, oh man awesome! Its pretty in expensive and they will sandblast everything so you will have no rust anywhere, and have good metal with a good hard coating on it.
So instead of painting and touching up why not just do it one time for a little extra money. Powder Coat it!

Toppgunn, I really want to get them powdercoated but I can't find anywhere to do it. Anyone near/in NY know of any places?? even a snowmobile shop or something that might know??
maxout01 said:so I can't even find a place to ship the parts to to do it. There was a place right around the corner from me and they don't do it anymore.
www.sespowdercoating.com
There is an 800 number burried on the site somewhere. They are in Windsor, Canada but have a shipping address in Detroit that they pick up from at least three times a week. Check the link in my sig for pics of their PC'ing. If you call, mention 'Ian from the Yamaha forum' told you to call. If you can't find the number on the site, PM and I'll dig it up for you.
Hope this helps.

Man someone around NY should be able to do it you would think,
did you hit any auto body shops asking?????
My understanding of the industry is that alot of the guys that start out doing all the little jobs get lured into the big buck production contracts and become 'line coaters' and can't or no longer want to do the little walk in stuff.
Thanks crewchief!! I'll definitely check into that. And your right about the little people being pushed into bigger production contracts. Alot of people I've talked to said they opted out of offering the product because of the push.
