An Arctic Cat recall, why am I not surprised. I like AC's sleds but it seems like they have alot of recalls. New M chassis sleds seem to be pretty good though.

my buddy just called the dealer they told him they aren't worrying about it till the fall and if its not cracked they aren't going to replace it. frigging cheep a$$es. i wanna know if it does crack while hes riding it and he stops and it back fires like it always does and the sled goes up in flames if they are gonna replace it? i doubt that

i was just reading about the recall on artichat and they are pretty naive one guy said that because there was 52000 sleds being recalled that it proved that the firecat was the top selling sled. that made me think would i another have the best selling sled that has a ton of recalls or one that's not the best selling that will last for ever hmmm hard decision.

they cant refuse to fix it, its a safty issue. if anyone gets burntup after they refuse to fix a sled, just hand over the company to the scared up suvivor or thier heirs.

im just goin on what he said. plt can be a little stingy and i think they are just trying to get away with it. i told him just to call up AC them self and go threw them.

I manufacture gas gauges for artic cats atv line. product design and tooling are all owned by cat. Project was all handled by cats engineering thru the R & D and product testing. After that, we actually sell direct to the tank molder who installs and then ships the assembly back to cat.
I would assume that The tank molder will be financially responsible for this recall and not cat

Is the company whomakes the tanks called Acro-Tech in WI? We quoted them a new blowmolding machine, but Polaris Engineers hired a consultant who is in bed with one of our competitors. I believe this company also makes tanks for AC.

Cant recall the comany by name tonight, but our gauges are sent to an Iowa plant. Sure there are several vendors making tanks for them.
Polaris handles the Majority of their own injection molding, dont know about their blow or rotational stuff....

Cat is ultimatly responsable, but I have no doubt they will pass on as much of the pain as they can manage. not too many supliers out there that can afford a hit that hard either, if they go under, Cat pays.
