lol, you know i was just playing man. I have only "crashed" once really by my own doing, and it was when i was riding off trail with my XLT special (which was really a great machine for a poo) and i hit a snow covered rock and bent the frame. It was completely invisible, so there was nothing i could do, except keep my a$$ on trail, lol. Other than that, no real crashes, just a few bent trailing arms from early season riding with obstacles

my buddy had a 93 xlt sp and i could never get that thing to run right. once it got started it was fine, but it took 50 pulls to start it! good thing its long gone! my ultra was good to me though. 6,000 miles on it, always started within 3 pulls and got good mileage (better than newer 600 twins). i almost forgot one thing on the pro x. i get a grey goop from under the gas tank when riding or trailering. im guessing its gas mixing with something else?yamaholic22 said:lol, you know i was just playing man. the old wedges were pretty good sleds once you upgraded the brakes (arctic cat master cylinder) and put straiter handlebars on. they werent the best riding, but for the most part they were reliable and cornered great!03viperguy said:I have a hankering for a wedge bodied polaris for some reason, and I dont know why lol! something new to learn about and tinker on I guess. 50 pulls doesnt sound interesting though!!!

My XLT was awesome. Always started easy, it was piped almost its entire life, i finally blew the pto bearing (they were known to be weak on all the 600 triples) at 9,800 miles. I got 16-17 mpg with that baby! It sounded good with the triple psi's screaming at you, but a little loud for today's standards. As for the grey goop, that is probably just oil that spilled in the trunk or something and ran down on top of the tunnel. Always seems to turn grey by the time it starts running out somewhere. Pull the seat and see you what you go there.
