I just bought a '92 Exciter II and I would like to upgrade the rear skid to a longer travel version. Are there any post 2000 SX or SXR skids that will bolt right in? Can I long travel this skid with Viper shocks like I did to my '99 SX?
Any info would be much appreciated.

I believe that chassis is a slightly different width. download the expert intall manual. it lists tunnel width for most sleds. if your chassis is a bit wider, just get a few washers or bolt on new mounting plates. virtualy any suspension can go into any chassis, its a matter of how much work you want to do.

Awesome project man!
Glad to see people still interested in the older Yami's.
Looks like some incredible work there, and very clean looking!
If only I saw more of these sleds out there on the trails... all I see is big brand new iron out there. I guess it's the area I ride in. I've yet to see another PZ II out on the trails, nut I know they're out there at least... many of which have more clicks on them than any of the new sleds will see (minus the 4 strokers :) ).
You'll hafta let us know how it rides this winter.
Great job.
