I am long traveling my 97 Sx I just got my brand new viper skid( thank you 800 & C B perf) I have viper front shocks , I called mountain perf to order the aluminum tie rod kit, the man said if I use stock trailing arms this kit will not work! Does anyone know the proper way to do this? Do I need diff trailing arms to use the 41" or 42" kit!?or if I buy SX R radius rods will I run into the same problem? Thank you

I asume the SX arms are the same as the SRX, the only difference is the caster angle built into the trailing arms. your steering might be a bit skittish because the increased angle of the arm decreases the caster angle

the angle is only 2* dif i dout ud even notice it. othen that they are identical. the only arms that are realy dif are the MMAX arms. the shock bracket angle on the MAXX is dif then the other arms. other then that SX XTC SXR SRX are all the same other then teh short travel has a 23.5* caster insted of 25.5*. as for teh arms the sxr arms or xtc arms will bring u to the right size. if u want black go with the xtc rad rods. its for ur orange and black sled right? i have a full suspention tuning book for the proaction if u need to know any specs.

I think the guy at MT perf did say something about the MM arms! The way he explained it to me is that stock arms will not allow for a wider front end! I wonder if the sway bar has to be differant also? Thanks for the help everyone! I will keep checking into this! If I can order XTC rad arms that might be the way to go! I just liked the Aluminum kits out there with the heim joint on the out side instead of being fixed ( stock)
