Heat exchangers for 2000-2003 mountainmaxes? If I was to buy a mountainmax I would demand a bigger rear heat exchanger. Does anyone make or can anyone make a rear heat exchanger for a mountainmax that has 2 to 3 times more volume than stock?

Could you weld two together or are there complicated channels in there?

What do you mean, will it be expensive to have once installed on the sled?? How is that possible? Do you mean it will ruin the track or something?

I don't know where you are at, but most shops in the western US/Canada can get them for you. Mtn Performance, Hartman are a couple of examples. Also most of the coolers are 16" long or longer, how much room do you have?
 
I'm in Norway, as in across the pond. I don't want a humongeous thing, just something that is a little bigger than the tiny heat exchanger in the back (rear heat exchanger). I would like to have something for the rear of the sled, that is between stock an srx one in volume.. I've looked through mtn performance but all I could find was that large thing, or srx style that will not fit a mm with that tapered tunnel
 
Did I forget to mention that I haven't even bought the sled yet. Lol. But thanks for the replies :) any more suggestions?
 
how bout this??? this is what grape ape is talking about. U-shaped cooler from mountain performance. fits in the tunnel roof between the tunnel and the extension. it is in a better snow "impact" area for greater and more consistant cooling. i have these for all my longtrack projects. ski

Man that looks great! I thought it went along the full length of the tunnel or something..
is that cooler a bolt on thing?
Do you have to go down in lug height to avoid the lugs hitting it?

The one I looked at the mountainperformance site had the inlet and outlet sticking up and not to the sides, can someone explain me this?
 
just wondering if anyone has any experience with the mpi u cooler? did it work better than what you already had. looking to lower my water temps when i trail ride with the family. running an ekholm 151" tunnel w/ 2" kick.
