Has anyone done anything different on their coil wires besides replacing the whole coil? I have a 98 SRX here that has a bad plug cap. When I unscrewed the cap I found the wire to be corroded and kinda messed up like it was replaced once before. I don't really want to cut the wire back any in fear of changing the wire resistance.
My question is has anyone spliced the wire and measured the resistance and got it right? Anyone done anything fun like put lighted plug caps on? How do you measure the resistance (from what point on the coil)?
