have you ridden that skid before you put it in? my mom had one new, it rode terrible
it is NOT an expert skid! boivin made an upgrade kit that was supposed to help, but mom just sold it for cheap a year later and ended up on an sxr 600

Yes Correct its not an Expert X its a cheaper model based on the design and made for skidoo by Ad Boivin for the Formula Z 670 for the 1997-1999 models, these skids can be like sitting on a springboard in stock form and if your 180lbs + forget about it! This supsension does have the updated springs that are still avilable from AD Boivin. wich is a 100% improvement in ride quality hence the different spring rate. So, yes I am aware of the problems that were happening with the ARC/ARM suspensions, but with the upgrade and some preventative maintanance (greese well, & check bushings and re loctite all bolts) it with give a decent ride......and it helps that I am only 150lbs

cool, as long as you know
I didnt think that boivin actually made those for ski-doo though, and thats why they had to change the name in the second year, boivin was mad about something lol! at the time we had it I was only about 120-130 lbs and it was still completely uncontrolled and seemed like just a spring. be interested to hear how you make out with it, please let me know! mother in law has a 99 670 with that skid and if you can make it ride nice I will try to get that one to as well!
