Good idea.

Advant-edge is in Toronto area. (I have a full set - way better than stock)
With a stock Yamaha - you can almost lift the sled off the ground pulling up on the belt. :whine: With his - the secondary opens, when you pull on the belt - like it should. That is the ramp helix - I am talking about.

Dalton - East Coast Canada

Both top of the line, both smart people.

a 53-43 advantage helix is like a 59-46 compared to others advantage measure there differently.

Wow...I didn't know Advant-edge was so close...I was gunna run with a Dalton
but after seeing what Advant-edge has to offer and slightly cheaper I'm gunna give
them a try...(and my phone bill will be cheaper..)Thanks FischGutz for your posting...
Curious to hear other input regarding these two helix's...

The dalton & advant-edge helix,s are totally different. We were playing with an angle finder one day with about 20 helix,s I have. The Dalton helix shallow out quickly & the starting angle is very close to the actual measurement. The Advant-edge helix,s measured out 5 degrees higher then advertised at initial. They also hold a steeper angle for a lot longer before shallowing out. The finish angle is about the same as other brands.

hmmm...so are you saying the Dalton is still a better choice?...or is it dependant on
riders choice?...I just thought add helix...Green Spring..and extra weight to the primary and go!!!...

to me it seems like the advant would be the better choice. i think it would backshift a bit quicker with no difference off the line or top speed. i wouldnt toss any weight in the primary without trying the spring and helix first. they tend to bring the rpm down on their own. a lot of guys like 8,400 - 8,500 rpm. i liked mine a bit better at 8,600, so try it and see how it goes.
