I have the task of selling a 1990 Yamaha Phazer II with 15 original miles. The only time it was ridden was Christmas of 1990. This is my grandpa's sled and has been stored inside ever since. We have already cleaned up the carb, and had it running. I don't know what kind of price to place on it, so if anyone has any idea it would be greatly appreciated. I am in Osceola, WI and the sled is in Walker, MN. I can bring it home if needed.

Wow, I'd love to see a picture of that. Not sure about a price......someone may pay a decent amount just to have a nice older sled. However, you always run into that 17 year old thing, too. If I were to guess, I'd ask $1600 and negotiate from there. You may get more or less. You can always come down from your price, but it's difficult to go back up. Good luck.

I'd give 1000 for it, and I'd come get it. Maxdlx

That thing is unbelievably clean for being 17 years old. Nice sled.

VERY Nice !!!!!!!!! If I had some extra cash sitting around, I'd snatch that baby right up.

Hey,
That is one mint sled! I picked my 1991 Phazer up for 1650 Canadian with 2400 kms. It was in great shape with low miles, but your sled is NEW! I could be way off, but I wouldn't start listing for anything less than $2000. It sure is a "must be seen" sled. The sled is essentially new, and although it is 17 years old, it hasn't seen any miles. Those sleds go forever, and someone would be lucky to get it for a back-up sled or even for one for around the yard. Most people look for fancy new sleds for the trails, but I still get about 2000 kms a winter on the trails with my 91'. It's a great sled. Someone might even pay more to have it as a collectors item. There might be a new found love for these sleds because of the new Phazer 4 strokes! Well, that's enough... I'm sure my opinion is biased as I love the old Phazer sleds, but you do essentailly have a brand new sled there.
Let us know how you make out.

I'm with Akrievins I would not start less than $2000.00 ! This is a Phazer II which had very few upgrades until they where last made in 1998 (Phazer SS) I bought a 1995 Phazer II Last year off of E-bay with 1023 miles in V.G. condition for $1900.00 and am very pleased ! B.T.W. I bought the same sled and color (the first year of the Phazer II) for my wife in the fall of 1989 for $4300.00 and still have it today ! The Phazer's run forever if maintained ! Below is the 1995 that my boy runs !

You would have to know my Grampa to understand why it wasn't used. We are thinking of selling it to get my Gramma some extra cash, its just sitting there. All the positive feedback does makes me think I should buy it. Everyone could use a sled that might run forever. And it looks pretty cool too!

Glad to see some others that think this sled still has some good value. You'll be amazed at how many second looks and questions you'll get while on the trails. One guy came up to me at a restraunt and actually said "what the hell is that". LOL, he then realized it was a Phazer and said "oh yeah, those are good sleds" I guess he was used to the colour scheme like yours. I think mine is even more rare these days.
Sell if for a good buck, or keep it for yourself!

That thing belongs in a museum for display only
Just a tip if you are going to put it on e-bay wait a few months, looks like sell prices have been fairly low in the past few weeks.
The sled looks great, should fetch a good price if you auction it.

I agree, that sled is way too nice to be mucked up from riding. It's a classic!

Wow that's pretty cool only 15miles.I would start at 2500.00 someone buying that it's worth it to them you have to find the right person I think who ever buy's it they won't ride they will keep it as a collector.
