Primary clutch weight rivets

center punch, 3/16 drill bit all the way through, punch them right out after that.

When Max perf was open, they use to sell a nice hand tool that made it real easy. You may still find one around some where. But i had to use a vise to hold the weight still
 
In the tech pages there are plans for making the weight/rivit tool. I just printed off a copy and took it down to a local machine shop. I had them make one for me, works very well.
Like Tom said you can use a vise to hold the weight, and it work's ok. With the tool, you can use a drill press to speed up the process even more!
 
Thanks. Ive been working all summer long on my sled and this is my last project. trying to lower rpm's from 9,100 to 8,900. If it's painted, I polished it. It it's not painted I polished it. If I could not polish it I cleaned and armor alled it. If it was tweeked its straight. I wish the weather outside was frightful, Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow.

PS:
It snowed above 9,000 feet several places in colorado today. Did not stick , but it sure makes your heart skip a beat.

The suggestion worked great. I took a steal plate with a hole larger then the rivet, with two smaller holes to screwed it to my work bench with. I do not have a vise or drill press. I used vise grips to hold the weights, center punched and drilled with the 3/16 bit. Done from start to finish in 30 minutes.
Tomseal if you do come to colorado, let me know, I will arrange a ride that will make sorry you did not move here sooner.
