I'm going to replace my well worn Yamaha coat this year and would like some input as to what guys here use and if they'd recomend it.I'm looking for something warm and long in the sleeves(tall sizes) but my dealer here in NB doesn't think that the new clothing from Yamaha available in Canada comes in tall or is worth the price even though there is a couple I would concider trying.
What other brand clothing have people found that wears well as is comfortable?
Thanks

The FXR coats are really nice ones, all of them.
Doesnt FXR make the coats for yamaha anyways?
I have in Icerider, but mostly because im riding over alot of frozen lakes, and this coat is very warm and comfy, but not as plush as a regular coat, due to the absence of floating foam.

Reima. Yamaha durable and quite warm. Too warm sometimes, make sure it has a zip out liner.

I hear ya on the long sleeves. I'm 6'6" and it seems Yamaha only makes clothing for the Japanese 5'6"er. I rock the flat black Carhartt cause nothing else fits!
Klim is the best I have found for high activity riders, but may require more layering underneath for long cold flat riding. They do have a seperate under suit that is excellent. You will want to get these items with a large discount at a show or through other forum members as the list prices are quite high.
Yamaha has used several clothing suppliers over the years including FXR, Reima, etc. I used to like the Reima jackets, but feel there are several cheaper alternatives now with high quality.

im using a coldwave jacket i bought at royaldistributing. bought it with the extra zip in fleece liner. riding at -40c never had a problem.
fxr, ive had some reg yamaha stuff, leather yamaha and now have fxr and love it. very user friendly and adjustable for the riding day. fxr suits and skidoo modular helments
I have a Yamaha jacket made by Riema. It is a little heavier, but by far the best jacket I have ever owned; warm, wind resistant, and plenty of pockets.

I love my full leather yamaha suit. as a trail rider (not trying to jump around on the sled a ton) it feels fantastic. it is heavy, but the wind never gets through and I am perfectly comfortable even when it is -20*
well... you may be in luck.. I have a FXR suit that I may be selling... (brand switching). I'm in Moncton... I have an FXR XL jacker and FXR 2XL Team pants. (run small) like new.. worn only a handfull of times.. I also have matching gloves.. I am trying to get a deal on a new sled.. it depends what happeneds with the new sled deal. The only way I'm keeping it is if I get the REX XPS II with the blue hood.. otherwise the suit is going.. I love suit.. I will be buying the same one only in yellow and black..

I think Reima got bought by Scott (goggle company), so I don't know what their product line is now. I absolutly love my Reima Warrior jacket that I paid $350 (ouch) for when they first came out. I can't remember exactly, but it was like 7-8 years ago. These things are tough, warm, waterproof. I love all the pads, zip-out liner, huge pockets, and most of all, how it feels like it was custom tailored to me (might not be that way for everbody). I think they might have flooded the market, because a few years ago the rest of my group bought them either at the hastings show, or at the Sled Shed in Gaylord for like $150 each. I like this companies gear so much, my wife and I now also have the Premier bibs ($ ouch) and their gloves.

SRXCAN what coat is that one?It looks light weight and would be ideal for layering a fleece liner underneath for warmth in the cold temps.

It's the new team Jacket from Yamaha, the fleece liner is seperate.
