im replacing my head with a pek performance. i was wondering how to take the heated carb connector off the top of the head. any help would be great. its brass and i dont want to break it.

edit- got it out. but now how do i get it into the peak head? can i just press it in and it will be fine and not leak or do i have to put something on it (locktite)? thanks.

Is it threaded? I cant remember if it is threaded or not. If it is, its a pipe thread and no locktiite should be needed. Just put a small amount of teflon tape on the threads and tighten up until quite snug. The threads do all the sealing. If you want more security use pipe dope but I dont think thats needed

well just found out that its pressed and that the peak head has its own so i took it out for no reason. can i just press it back in and it will be fine?
