ice scratchers...............?

Bought these but don't know exactly where to install them.Need a solid base for bracket and fold up bracket. The fold up bracket would end up going where the cooling finns on the running board is.Has anyone installed these on the Yamaha's and if so do you have pics or maybe some kind of mounting info I can use,otherwise I will send the scratchers back for refund.
Who in here has used these?Please let me know your thoughts.
