Can something Devlop from this?? maybe a Fued? maybe a lawsuit?
if Ski-doo spent more time and money producing a more quality product and trained their employees to take care of the customer like they should they would be soo much better off then puting out these attacking adds.
Whenever these ads come out specific to another brand's model it is because they are feeling the heat. We actually do not want Yamaha to overtake BRP in sales, because if they ever do, the aggressive effort to refine their product will taper off. Now passing one or both of the other 2 is not as bad.
Overall BRP makes a great product, and they tend to stay simpler in design. They have had a few problems lately, but they are working through them. We really want them to keep the heat on, so all snowmobile products continue to improve as much as possible.

yamaha could technically sue because the guys arm has "yamaha" shown on it. but if it didn't, then no. from what i'm told by my lawyer friend is that you can show their product, but it has to be stripped of all names and logos of the company. and he said that ski-doo could argue that its just a guy with a "yamaha" jacket, it doesn't mean its a "yamaha" sled. i think yamaha should post a flyer with a yamaha in immaculate condition next to a ski-doo that looks like an "antique" and with a money overflowing out from under its hood.
I personally think it's fuuny.Maybe the more pressure the other manufactures keep puting on yamaha the more they will lighten their sleds up.You could look at it that way.
They nare also picturing a 800 vs a 1000. I thought the doo 1000 out weighed the apex. it is all bs in the end. Maxdlx
They are feeling the crunch to make a better quality sled, not just fast. Sleding is fun and different to everyone. I see this advetisement similar to the Coke Pepsi ad too. It's just a CHEAP shot that really make Ski-Doo look BAD.

I dont see Yamaha tailing off once they take over the #1 spot. They lead in the motorcycle market and every year they make their bikes better and better. I see Yamaha eventually becoming #1 in sleds and doing what it takes to stay there.
As to the BRP ad, its funny and clever but anyone with half a brain will be able to easily see through it.

Why do they need that weight in the front of the sled, they've already got 50 pounds of pistons and rings in the storage area.

I'd have to agree with that.

That ad is an apple orange comparison. AnRTX w/a 600 HO blizzard? What they should've done was put a MachZ in there but that's still 2stroke vs 4. Lets see what doo's 800 4stroke weighs

I agree, I do think its funny though. Just goes to show who there afraid of !!!SRXtrafast said:That ad is an apple orange comparison. AnRTX w/a 600 HO blizzard? What they should've done was put a MachZ in there but that's still 2stroke vs 4. Lets see what doo's 800 4stroke weighs![]()

they would never do that...compare apples to apples..
lets talk about quality.. there is a guy over at Dootalk who bought a new Mach Z last winter. drove it once or twice and it blew up and just got it back like a month or so because the parts were back ordered.. so his season was really really short... now they don't want to give the 2006 Mach owners exteneded warranty. The 2005 Mach owners did get a second year warranty for free.
OSM Mag
Well the Ontario Snowmobile Mag came yesterday called the buyers guide, and i could not believe that ad. That was the first time i seen Ski-Doo do that, and comparing it to the 600 too. Then as you read on there is an ad explaining that BRP sales have dropped, then when you get into the specs of the sleds there is no weight #'s on any of the Ski-Doo models. All other manufactures have the weight of their sleds and even the Yamaha's. Compaing the Apex with electric start and reverse they are close to the others.
Looks like Ski-doo is getting scared
