BRP on the run!

are you guys sure that isnt a blizzard 800r? that would be the comparison to the apex, not the mach. 151hp and a lot lighter too. dont kid yourselves, it will be a contender.

Chadg, BRP stands for "Bombardier Recreational Products.
N20iroc, it clearly says 600 on the side of the Doo.
Where did you get the Doo 800 is 150 hp? BRP claims it is 136 hp.

:dunno: My bud down the road and he is also a mechanic drives a MXZ700 and has put a lot a miles on it.I think it is a 2003,not sure.He said he was going to look into the Yamaha's Apex maybe as his next sled. His buddies off course all drive doo's. One of them guys signs up with Ski-doo and he always gets a new sled every season and trades in earlier model for the most recent. Last season he was out on Lake Winnipeg here in Manitoba, and this guy just gives her when he rides, and he blew up the engine on the 1000 cc Ski-doo .That was last years model. I wonder what Ski-doo would of done for him in this circumstance. Because he does this deal every season, takes the last one back, pays Ski-doo a couple of thousand dollars, and gets the new model for the next season.Do you think Doo would have paid for the engine.Probably not if I am correct in what people are saying about Doo's warranty. This guy is a little different. Drives Doo,but wears a Yamaha Jacket.Go figure. Maybe all these guys will switch over to the Blue side. I am waiting to see what happens. Will keep ya's posted. :dunno: :dunno:

my monitor sucks, so i couldnt see it. the old 800 h.o. was down on power, but the new for 07 800R is awesome. the horsepower is right on their site in the technology section.

My real good bud bought a 07 Summit with the new 800R motor. I ride with him a lot & will see for myself how it performs.

Hey guys ,take a look on DooTalk.com on the Forum about the New Phasers. Some really positive comments from doo guys, but some idiot comments by others. One guy says that Yamaha didn't tell the truth about the weight of the Phaser, that Yamaha can,t get a proper scale to get the dry weight of the Phaser's right.More talk about the Rev against the RX1 and the Apex's.But interesting talk about attracting customers who drive quads now could possibly be interested in their first sled...the Phaser. That it feels like a dirt bike on snow. ;)! :dunno:

They don't make any of the MXZ's or Renegade's with the new 800R. ALL of the 121-136" sleds are the same motor as the 2003-2005 REV 800's. Summit's are the only sleds that get the new 151HP 800R motor. ;)!

the 800r motor is only available in their mountain sled.

shortstop you are right the mtn sleds are the only one's with the new motor. That was the same thing last time they redesigned the 800 engine it was in the summit.
Tom I agree the new 800 will be a contendor and the mtn sled they dropped 15 more lbs.I"m a yamaha guy but I think some people are to hung up on yamaha and are in denial.Every brand has there perks and downfalls even yamaha so that's why I never bash other brands.

The ad hits the nail on the head why brp won't go 4 stroke with their high performance sleds. For those who say "why don't they put a mach z on there", its because in racing events yamaha wants to run the apex with the little 600's. And a lot of the time the 600's beat them with 30 less horsepower

True, but if they wanna "play fair" they should compare a 1000 to a 1000. Whats next, is Doo gonna compare the Freestyle to the Apex in terms of weight?

yeah but you can fix piston problems for $100, and it doesnt happen to every sled, with the apex, all of them are heavy and you can't fix that for $100.

:2strokes:

you can also say that all riders dont weigh the same, that difference in weight can make a big difference, and you wouldnt need a mechanic to be following you all the time. hahaha :D:DP . and you could actually ride to the middle of nowhere without having to be worried about breaking down.

Gade600 that’s not very fair… you copied skimp369 comeback on DOOtalk. Please at least try to be original.

DOOtalk

I'm just messing around with you DOO guys. The BRP ad is a good one but I like mine better! Alot of us are FOBO's (Friends Of BRP Owners) and if we can't poke fun at each other, who can we poke fun at.

Cheap to fix doesnt mean much when you are broke down in the middle of nowhere.
I have a feeling this thread is going to get locked very soon! :rulez:
