i need a place to get rivets to put the running board coolers on and the body pannels any one know a good place to pick some up, and what size are they?

if i get a rivet gun that will do up to 3/16 that should do it right. also what size rivets are the ones used to rivet on the tunnel. i need to get one gun that will do those as well is 3/16 big enough?

I just bought some "Q-Rivets" from JayCee Sales (www.rivetsinstock.com) They are part numbers SSPQ-06-04 and SSPQ-06-06 with grip ranges of 1/8" to 1/4" and 1/4" to 3/8", both are 3/16" steel rivets with steel mandrels. I have used them for attaching the front cooler and protectors to the tunnel and for a tunnel extension.

I had to buy a minimum lot of 100 of each so I have some extra to sell to ya if interested.
I would sell them for $0.25 each plus shipping.

You definitely need a pneumatic riveter, I tried by hand with a riveter with 12" handles and it was a no-go.

I also bought a box of 250 of 3/16", large head, aluminum, black head rivets for attaching the body panels. They pull easy enough so pneumatic isn't necessary. (see pic)

I would sell these for $0.10 each plus shipping.

Better have a good rivit gun or else!!!!!!!

Tunnel Rivets

My were all loose and the holes were elongated. I drilled them all out and replaced them with stainless button heads/nylocs.

In my case the new (oversized) rivets would not have solved the problem. Not to mention, I would have had to use a hydraulic rivet gun.

I have logged many miles with no issues. Cosmetically it looks good too. Some guys use over types of fasteners (hex head) that can give you extra grip in the foot wells as well.
