Hey guys, I'm just in the process of changing to team BLUE! Anyways I'm importing this machine from USA to Canada. Canada customs wants a recall release form stamped with Yamaha's name. Any one know where or who to contact for this info. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob
Thanks,

I'm pretty sure you should be able to get that from your Yamaha dealer. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
All you need to do is contact Yamaha Cust Relations at (800) 962-7926, explain to them what you are doing and give then the sleds VIN number. I had to do the same thing when I sold the Wifes Viper to a fellow Canadian TYer.wantsnow said:Hey guys, I'm just in the process of changing to team BLUE! If u bought the sled from a dealership then get a letter from them useing their letterhead, It must have the maufacturers Logo. Check out this page on the RIV (Registrar of imported Vehicles) website.

Say what????
Hi rob I just went to mich. 3 weeks ago and brought back a 2004 warrior. I have yet to receive my letter telling me where to take it to be inspected. Sled is not in my name yet but I did pay the gst at the border. When exactly do they ask for the recall release form? Also post where and how you end up getting a form. Thanks man.

Thanks for everyones input!
Shank33- my understanding is that Canada customs should have asked you for that recall release form. If not, then I think a federal inspection is also necessary and this may be when recall letter is required. I'll let you know how mine works out. I'm hopefully pickin her up next Friday (can't wait!)
