I just did a track swap on my Viper. Here are a few of my tips: You Do NOT have to remove the parking brake. You will only have to pull the chain case out far enough to slide the driveshaft out. Make sure you check both the drive shaft and jack shaft bearings. They are very easy to replace at this point. Mine were both shot. Incidentally, the chaincase bearings were like new. If you have to replace the jack shaft bearing, you will have to completely remove the chaincase from the shafts, but you still will not have to remove the parking brake. It helps to have the owners manual for the torque specs when reassembling. Any other questions, feel free to ask!
