I need to install a cigarette lighter type of outlet. My MM doesn't have electric start or a battery so I don't know how to connect it. Anyone have any ideas??
You can run it off a lighting circuit. I double check the wiring diagram on that model tonight. (gotta go eat right now)

I'm looking to run my GPS. Not much else.
A good source is the blue wire under your handle bar pad...it's the brake hot load side...steady source and is fused...splice into it and find a good ground, your good to go...the only drawback to this application is if you blow your fuse you don't have a stop lite...I wire all my heatshields this way...it may not be the best, but I never blew a fuse yet...mike
Yes the blue wire that comes out of the load control relay (the one with the white plug) is regulated voltage. On the MM, I do not think it is fused. However, the MM should have condensers before the load control relay (red wire), so the power should be fairly smooth.
