Identify a clutch spring

I agree . . .

We should have a Stump the Experts contest !!!

MrViper, Turk, SRXSpec, and many others (you know who you are) can be on this panel.

All in good fun of course . . .

OK, another easy one

I bought 12 used clutch springs last night. Here are some others for you Don! Let me put these in order (if I can) from least difficult to most!

Red heel clicker
Gray heel clicker
White heel clicker

I have a secondary spring here which I believe to be OEM yamaha. It is pretty thin wire like a red but it is a taller spring, in other words, it would appear to have more side pressure than a red, green or a silver. It has a white identification mark on it. Any ideas?

How about the black spring that comes in a Heavy Hitter kit......I've got three of those damn things.

Let me know GURU's!

Thanks a bunch!

h/c springs, red-230/360, grey- 230/330, white- 170/300, blue-190/300

yamaha secondary spring-white is from a rx1, but its heavy wire,6.0mm diameter wire,1290 torsion/1.372 compression. A red secondary spring is 5.53mm diameter wire, check the diameter of it and maybe we can find out what it is, paint mark may mean nothing.

I cant help ya on the hh stuff, I use that stuff for catfishing sinkers.....LOL!!!

Yes Redsnake

I'd be glad to sell one or all of the HH springs. How about $10 plus shipping. Also, I would be glad to sell a full HH set. Weights, tuning nuts & washers, primary spring and maybe even a helix to go along with it. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Don - I'd be willing to bet that the secondary spring came out of his Apex GT. What can you tell me about this spring in relation to the traditional red, green and silver?

Thanks,
Matt

brown secondary-613 torsion/.63 compression
red secondary-729 torsion/.74 compression
green secondary-848 torsion/.87 compression
silver secondary-965 torsion/1.04 compression

HH spring

Paul, yes, I would consider it a "real heavy spring". But I don't know what the heck it is!!!

Don heres one for ya. I have a wht yel wht, and need to bring my rpm up about 500 rpm. will a white yamaha or grey HC do it for me. I am just starting to try and tune my super tips. Maybe I just need to add more weight in the hole closer to the pin.

White Yellow White?

I don't see any WYW in the yamaha chart. Do you mean YWY which is a 45/128? If so, may I suggest a Hauck Orange which is a 55/136?
