Are these weights done for (worn out) or will a little cleaning up with the grinder work to save these? Notice the small groove starting on the bottom of each weight. Let me know what you think.

Anybody? The grooves are not deep enough to be caught by a finger nail running across them.
what weights are they. They look a little worn. If you can get them ground evenly they may work, but you will change the weight by doing so. You ca adjust that with rivets. Maxdlx

They are 8CRs. At what point of the weight does the roller start making contact?
They start making contact right by the pin where the change in color begins. Maxdlx

I just took some scotchbrite to a used set of weights I just bought. Cleaned them up and now they look like new. give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Really need a side profile picture to be sure, but from what you are describing they should be fine with some polishing up.

All my used weights have a mark there, No big deal.
