I know I should have put pics here but I wanted some feedback . . .

I have a few old Phazer II sleds that I am working on as projects, I have a few old steel skis and one stock exhaust; they appear/are structurall sound but heavily pitted/rusted.

Before I put a lot of elbow grease into them sanding and repainting; is it worth it? I was going to throw these parts on eBay if I did restore them; I don't need them, they are strictly spares and don't want to hang onto them in the garage.

OR; do I just put them on eBay and sell "as is."

Any advice would be appreciated otherwise I think they will go to the Recycler.

I have been working on a Arctic Cat Puma that I picked this summer for the kids. The steel ski's were nasty. Like the above post says, new steel ski's are $80 each. Used OEM plastic ski's are $100 plus a pair. I would rehab them if I was you. For someone rebuilding a sled, there are not many cost effective options for ski's. I think your time would be worth the extra money you could get.

I used a wire brush wheel on my drill and some emery cloth to knock the worst off rust off of the ski's. I then used corrosive X primer that filled in alot of the imperfections. Lastly, I sprayed them with Mercruiser out drive paint. This is the tuffest spray paint you can buy in the can. I did not want to spend days on the ski's, so I am happy with how they came out. They look great from a few feet away.
