I am installing a 32mm mikuni on my son's 78 ET 250 The carb specs are as follows. Not sure what it all mean.
Just for your information the 32mm carburetor listed has a 6DH4 jet needle, 2.5 throttle cutaway, P4 needle jet, 30 pilot jet and 165 main jet.

The jet needle is the needle that you see when the carb is at wide open, the 6DH4 is the taper on it. I have a book somewhere that gives speifics.
I think the 2.5 throttle cutaway it a relief cut on the air cleaner side of the throttle slide(guillitene valve).
HTe P-4 needle jet is the jet that the jet needle rides in different Lettered/numbered needle jets have different size orfices the aid in fuel management at different throttle openings.
The pilot jet is the jet that is mainly used for idling and just off idle.
and, the main jet is the jet that meters fuel at wide open throttle. Hopefully this didn't make things as clear as mud. T
