I was looking at my 2005 Maxximum Performance catalog and noticed that their reinforced "W" arm
for the 97' 700SX also fits all models (except 2000-2002 SRX) from 1997-2004 including Viper & RX-1.
My question is when looking up "W" arms on the Yamaha website I can come up with at least 3 different
part numbers and 2 different prices?

1997 700SX = 8CR-47331-00-00 $115.97
1998 700SX and many others = 8CV-47331-01-00 $115.97
2003/4 RX-1 = 8DF-47331-00-00 $162.29

I am looking at buying a new one for my 1997 700SX and was wondering what is the difference
between these 3 numbers, should I assume (my bad) that the RX-1's are more heavy duty and go that way??

Thanks in advance ;)!

I have one off of a 02 viper, that is in good shape. I'd take 80 plus shipping. Maxdlx

Those part numbers may have changed due to how the w arms are reinforced. I bought a viper skid from BETHEVIPER and he installed an RX-1 w arm before he sent it. Its now in an SRX, so my guess is that the dimensions are all the same. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.

Thanks but I can get a new one for $86.98 plus shipping.
I will buy a new RX-1 "W" arm if it's reinforced and worth the extra cash.

the rx1 arm has a little larger gusset on the bottom is all i can see different, i have seen some viper front arms the same way though. the dimentions are the same. they all will break eventually if the sled isnt set up right and you dont put correct bushings or bearings in the front shock and tight bushings and shafts in the w arm ends with grease fittings.
