Spark plug question

A friend of mine just his polaris for a 2003 mtn viper. It has BR9ES NGK plugs in it. I'm helping him get it set up and I've always ran B9ES plugs. Is there a good reason to run the plugs with resistors. :dunno:
 
RFI interferance, it can affect ignition systems. The ignition system is designed for resistor plugs, and even the spark plug caps have them built in them. Its not gonna run any better without them.
 
If your thinking of performance use BR9ECS.
No fowling!
Plugs will not in general help performance unless you index. Only slitly! :o|

Preimum fuel does not make HP.
 
This is what I have been told about the BR9ECS, is that they are ground different, they disspate heat better, and they reduce the chance of detnotion. Wasnt told anything bout them not fouling or increasing power but I'm sure they get loaded up they will foul out. These are the plugs I'll be running in my Piped Viper, but if you do run these you have to pay attetnion on which ones you get. Cause they come in 2 diff. gap sizes .8mm (.028-.031) and .5mm (.018-.020). You want the larger gapped ones, the tighter are for carbbed ski-doo sleds.
