97 600 twin carb question (stock sled) tring to finish this up tonight
I am tring to get the carbs finished tonight on the sled.
The sled is stock. I was reading that these machines run rich from factory.
I did some searching on here to about this matter.
MY QUESTION IS
Can I lower the needle to lean her out so I can get some better gas milage.
Also I might be doing the head gasket mod ( maybe )
I have 3 positions to pick from
acording to the book 4 is at the top 2 in the middle ( stock ) 5 is at the bottom
Also I have 2 plastic washers that are under the clip. ( stock )
This sled will be used in pa and ny area.
any help would be great

Ok here is what I did for now.
I put the clip in the 1 position at the top of the needle with both washers underneath the clip. I wonder how she will run in the snow...
